It’s a beautiful day and I’m lucky enough to be sitting outside at my favourite bar having a morning coffee. I’ve just started a new book that I’ve been wanting to read for a while. And I’m really enjoying the moment. In the here and now.
The truth is that happiness is for us to enjoy now. It’s in the moment. It took me a long time to see that. From whatever has happened in the past – ten years ago, last month or even yesterday – which have all been and gone – to whatever will happen after tomorrow – which hasn’t happened yet – all of that is what it was and what it will be.
You see it naturally in children who get lost in the moment. Yes, as adults, we have to go to work after the weekend, but that hasn’t happened yet. Let’s all take a moment to enjoy the moment. Now.
So, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing and whoever you’re with, I hope you’re enjoying your own moment now.
I had that ‘moment’ on Monday. I woke up on my day off and the weather was incredible. 20 degrees in London doesn’t happen everyday, especially around this time of a year. I read that you live in Spain. I wish I did! Living with the sun above my head makes me a better person!

It’s nice to get moments like that and more importantly it’s good to know and appreciate that we have moments like that, while we have them. We lived in London for 17 years and so we are really enjoying our time in Granada/Andalucia/Spain. It’s now November and I wore flip-flops on the way to the bar for breakfast this morning. That’s a nice feeling. Thanks for your comments.
